At Metro Church, we believe in the importance of ministering to the needs of even our littlest members. While the main sanctuary experience is designed for adults, our Nursery, Pre-School and Elementary spaces (available during all of our weekend services) have been carefully created with your children in mind. Our hope is that no matter their age, your children will learn to LOVE GOD, HELP OTHERS, DO THEIR BEST, and HAVE FUN!
Your child is important to us. On your first visit, look for the “First Time Guest” sign. We’ll need the following personal information: parent/legal guardian names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for each child. This information is entered into our Metro Kids database to help maintain our secure check-in system. After your first time, you can go directly to the iPads to check-in your child.
In order to expedite this process, you can pre-register here:
Your child’s safety is our first priority. All Metro Kids volunteers pass a background check, and we employ an off-duty police officer as well as our own security team to ensure your child’s safety. We use a security tag system for child check-in and pick-up, and a paging system for parents/guardians in case we need to reach you during the worship experience.
Metro Kids Super Squad is an extension of Metro Kids and exists to be a ministry that supports children who might need a little extra help as they attend a Metro Kids service experience.
Super Squad is composed of “Buddies” (Volunteers) who attend the Metro Kids service with your child so that he/she can participate in worship and engage in the Bible lesson once it is determined that Super Squad is a great fit for your child.
We will first have you apply prior to attending to best engage with the specific needs your child may have. Once we have done that, the Metro Kids Directors will be in communication with you to match your child with a buddy. That buddy will then communicate with you as the parent on a regular basis in order to ensure that your child is doing well.
As a church, we are so excited to share in the celebration of this special milestone for you and your family. We believe that dedicating your child(ren) before the Lord is an outward expression of an inner commitment to raise your child(ren) in a godly way. Our Child Dedication Service is intended to help commemorate this special day and allows us the opportunity to pray for you and your family.

In order to create the best experience possible, we’ve decided to combine the event. It will take place at the Alexandria campus because of its centrality to where Metro Church attenders live. But don’t worry! Your campus pastor will be there!
Those instructions will be coming to you about a week out from the event. You’ll have everything you need to know by then.
On Sunday’s, our time is limited due to all the other components of service. We wanted to give Baby Dedication the proper time to talk through and celebrate! Saturday’s allow for us to do that.
As many as you’d like! When we bring your family up, it will only be your immediate family but we encourage as many friends and family members as you’d like.
You can do what feels best for you and your family. I generally tell people, it is not as formal as a christening but not as relaxed as a normal day. I would encourage you and your family to dress in what will feel best to celebrate that day.
