SUMMER SUNDAY
SCHEDULE

FAQS

Experience

We will have multiple locations available to us this summer. So we’ve created a schedule to help you plan ahead! Take a look at our [Summer Schedule], which includes locations and service times, as well as Serve Days we will be hosting on specific Sundays.

In our new environments, we will have plenty of space to create an exceptional experience which will definitely include that morning cup of Joe.

Sure, it will be different, but it will also be better! A few things you can expect are better seating,, fun kids environments, and a state-of-the-art live production experience. At the end of the day, it will still be Metro Church and will feel like home. We believe that encountering God is not reliant on gathering within the walls of one building, but that he meets us wherever we are, as we gather.

Kids/Students

Yes! Security is one of our top priorities. We are currently working with all of our volunteers and staff to ensure all of our safety protocols, as well as our check in and check out processes are more secure than ever in our new spaces. As always, our Metro Kids team will ensure that your child’s Sunday experience will be the best it has ever been!

We will ensure that it is very clear where you need to check in your child. There will be signage and designated drop off zones for your kids- just look for the Metro Kids logo. Be on the lookout for additional communication from our Metro Kids Team with previews of our new Children’s spaces along with other information to make this transition as simple as possible.

We will make sure there is a clear and quick line of communication if your child needs your attention. Similar to our current communications setup, our Metro Kids team will easily be able to contact you when your child has a need.

Metro Students

We value students being a part of the local church and a part of our services.  Our services consist of worship, a message, and response time. Sit with us! We will have a row just for students and leaders to sit together through worship and the message. Not only that, stop by the Social Station before or after service so we can hang. See you there!

At every service or event at Metro Church you will find a “Social Station.” This is a VIP area JUST for middle and high school students to get social with leaders and other students. There will be a place to hang, free food, more information on Metro Students, upcoming events, and ways for you to get involved at Metro Church.

At every one of our campuses there will be a clearly identified student section in the auditorium to give students the option to sit with leaders. In the student section there will always be an adult male and female metro student leader at every service.

We are ALWAYS asking ourselves, how can we pastor students effectively? We are not married to a method, we are married to a mission. If we need to change or redirect what we do to reach more students, we will change or redirect what we do.  For this season of our church we believe that this method is the most effective way to reach students, and to get them planted into the local church.

Volunteers/Dream Team

We are building a clear system that will ensure setup and teardown will be an easy experience for everyone involved. If you would like to join our Mobile Set Up and Tear Down Team, sign up here.

Miscellaneous

No – same church, new location!

Yes, both locations accommodate those with disabilities and we will be able to utilize the fullness of these facilities. We will always make it a priority to create an environment where everyone can worship together.

Safety is our number one priority. Each week we will work with the Alexandria, NOVA and DC Police Departments to ensure our church family is always safe.

Great! We would love to have you involved in the process. You can start by joining our Dream Team and getting plugged in! You can also take the time to pray with us as we seek God through every step of this process.

Our lease is ending with the 1100 and 1200 property at the end of May 2019. The current owner is redeveloping the property.

We will be using many of the incredible facilities around the area to continue all of the gatherings and ministries that we currently offer.

Yes, Metro Church’s new offices will be located in the heart of Old Town beginning at the end of the Summer. The new office address will be made available once completed and up and running.
